"Prodigal Son" is Oliver's first album recorded with The New Madrids, who are bassist Adam Rich and drummer Ernie Richmann. Oliver sings and plays guitar, squareneck dobro, National resonator, and mandolin. Recorded and mixed entirely on analog tape without the use of computers or digital effects, this is a homecoming record in more ways than one. Features ten Buck originals and two reworked classics.
